Celta Vigo have asked Barcelona for Rafinha on loan in January and it's likely a deal could be done in the coming days.

The Brazilian is back in training and has been cleared to return to action after missing the last nine months with an injury.

However, rather than with Barça, the next phase of his recovery is likely to be away from Camp Nou, with Celta for a second time.

Rafinha played for the Galician club when Luis Enrique was in charge and could now return to work under Unzue, who was Lucho's assistant at Celta and Barcelona.

Barça want to lighten their squad in January and Arda Turan is certain to leave, with Rafinha, Gerard Deulofeu and Aleix Vidal among the others who could leave.

A move to Vigo seems best for all parties in Rafinha's case, with Sport learning that Celta are keen to get the deal done.
