Neymar Jr still has a chance of playing in the Clasico thanks to Barcelona’s strategy of appealing against his ban.
They appealed against the Brazilian’s ban to the RFEF and his bid was rejected, so they will take the case to the Spanish Court of Arbitration for Sport (TAD).
Barcelona have now filed their appeal, after TAD met on Friday, hoping that they do not meet on Saturday to decide over it, so Neymar’s ban is suspended until after Sunday night’s clash with Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Neymar was sent off for two yellow cards after Barcelona played Malaga, but got an extra two match ban on top of the usual one, for sarcastically applauding the fourth official.
He missed one match, against Real Sociedad, and is set to be suspended for the Real Madrid and Osasuna clashes, unless Barcelona’s appeal is not contested on Saturday by TAD.
