Despite the coronavirus pandemic work goes on at Barcelona as they continue to look at what signings they can make next season.

Lazio defender Luiz Felipe is one player they have been tracking for months and they now know how much they would have to pay to sign him.

The Italian club paid just €1 million for the 23-year-old three years ago but now they want to multiply that by 40, according to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, who cite €40m as the asking price.

Lazio hope to tie the Brazilian down to a new deal, though, and increase his release clause to generate more money if they do have to sell him.

Barça are looking to sign a centre-back. Piqué, Lenglet and Umtiti are the three they have currently but Pique is 33 now and needs a long-term replacement and Umtiti's had fitness issues.

Luiz Felipe has had a fine campaign as Lazio have challenged Juventus to the Serie A title. When football was suspended, they were just a point behind the leaders with 12 games to go.
