There is a first time for everything. Also for the 'new normal.' Until now, Barcelona had not made any away trips on a bus since the three-month break due to the coronavirus, but on Sunday Quique Setien's side will get a coach to their game against Villarreal at La Cerámica.

Barça will use two buses that comply with all the security measures demanded to be used for the 287km journey from the Ciutat Esportiva to Villarreal's home. In total, it will take around three hours to complete the trip in the most comfortable way possible, given it's absurd to use an airplane of train in the current circumstances.

10PM KICK OFF

Barça will arrive with plenty of time in the small city in Castellon of 50,000 people to take on one of the in-form teams following the break.

Javi Calleja's side have won five and drawn one of their six matches since the restart and have only conceded two goals. If they win again, they would knock Barça out of the title race definitively.

Villarreal need to win, too, to keep up what seemed an unlikely Champions League pursuit before LaLiga resumed. However, they have moved up to fifth and are just three points behind fourth-placed Sevilla.

The game kicks off at 10pm local time and by the time it starts Barça will already know what their title rivals Real Madrid, who are currently four points clear, will have done at Athletic Bilbao.
