Barcelona struggling in both boxes after Cadiz draw

The Catalans have not kept a clean sheet for eight games in a row

| sport

Barcelona are not good in either box, the small but important spaces where games are decided. Against Cadiz the Blaugrana managed one goal from 22 shots. And it was a penalty. If they dropped two points at Camp Nou though, it wasn’t just because of that. They lacked cold blood in defence too.

For the eighth game in a row they let in a goal. Another defensive error cost them. That bad run started against Rayo Vallecano almost a month ago and has not finished yet. Barcelona’s last clean sheet came on Jan 24, when they beat Elche 2-0 at the Martinez Valero.

Barcelona have managed just 12 this season from 37 games. Under 30 per cent. These numbers show why it’s hard for Barcelona to play consistently.
