There’s no time to lick wounds. Barcelona are obliged to turn the page on their Europa League elimination and focus their efforts on La Liga. They have eight games to go and want to seal their Champions League qualification and even run Madrid close for the title.
The squad is still dreaming of success. They have the feeling that if they win their last eight games they can overturn Real Madrid at the top of the table. There is 12 points between the sides at the moment but Barcelona have a game in hand.
They think their calendar is better than Madrid’s, with Los Blancos heading to face Sevilla and then Osasuna three days later.
Madrid are also still in the Champions League and have a demanding doubleheader against Man City that could give Barcelona a bit of an advantage.
