Barcelona have decided to cease all club-related activities. The president, Josep Maria Bartomeu, personally communicated the decision to Quique Setien and the players on Friday after training at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.
The squad and the coached had trained earlier in the day -- awaiting UEFA's decision on the Napoli game scheduled for next week -- but it was their last session for the foreseeable future.
UEFA have now confirmed the Champions League game against Napoli has been suspended and the players, following a meeting with Bartomeu, club medical staff and medical experts from local hospitals, now know they will be working from home.
Dr. Jaume Padrós, the president of the Colegio de Médicos in Barcelona and chief of FC Barcelona's health services, and Dr. Antoni Trilla, the head of preventativce medicine at Hospital Clínic, were at the meeting.
The players will follow individual training plans while at home and will be supervised by the club's fitness staff.
Barça B and all of the academy teams will also be at home until further notice, while the club has cancelled all other events, including Monday's board meeting.
