Barcelona published a statement Tuesday announcing that Ousmane Dembélé's operation by Dr. Sakari Orava was successful. The player's ruptured hamstring will now keep him out for 3.5 months instead of the 3.5-4 months originally estimated.
Dembele's aim is to get back playing for the start of 2018, and he will still miss the rest of Barcelona's Champions League games as well as clashes with Atletico and Real Madrid in La Liga.
