Financial oxygen for Barça. The club have sealed a finance deal with different international investors over the next 10 years with 1.98 per cent interest. The plan is guaranteed with television rights. It sees Barca get 455 million euros and renegotiate 140m euros of previous debt with more favourable conditions.
The deal was taken after being approved by the Assembly on June 20. Goldman Sachs were the financial assessor of the operation.
Barca are working on another deal to get finance for Espai Barca, whose cost shot up to 1.2 billion euros. The deal, per Barca sources, showed “the confidence that Barca generates in the international finance market with the new board and new executive team, and the strength of the Barca brand.”
