The transfer window is not over for FC Barcelona. The club are working on various movements and one of them is the signing of a striker, Alvaro Morata.

The Spain international is the player Xavi wants to strengthen Barça's attack. Morata is open to a change of scenery and leaving Juventus, where he's on loan from Atletico Madrid, as soon as possible.

Barça and Morata have held talks and are open to a deal, although it won't be easy and also depends on Juventus and Atletico Madrid.

Morata is on loan at Juve until the summer. They have an option to make the move permanent but will not pursue it. However, they will not let him leave mid-season, either, without a replacement.

Barça hope Juve will green-light the deal. Laporta spoke about signings after the Supercopa this week: "We're trying to strengthen the squad. There are some options. We've already signed Alves, who adds personality and talent to the team.

"With Ferran Torres, we worked really hard to bring him here and strengthen the attack. The more goals we have in the team the better. Goals have resisted us until now."

Barça are pending outgoings before making more signings, while other contract renewals, like Samuel Umtiti's, could also help sign and register Morata. Memphis Depay could be key. The Dutchman is liked by Juve, who have lost Chiesa to injury. It's still early days but there could be movement and talks between the two clubs to find a solution in the coming days.
