Good news for Ernesto Valverde. Brazilian forward Malcom has been given the green light by the club's medical team to return to action and is avaialble for selection again.

Malcom injured the ligament in his ankle on Sept. 3 and has been out of action for three weeks. It's prevented him from having more minutes at the start of his Barça career after joining from Bordeaux.

He could have featured against Girona on Sunday, with Barça's three other summer signings all starting -- Lenglet, Vidal and Arthur -- to varying degrees of success.

Valverde's idea is to give Malcom minutes in the coming weeks due to the number of games Barça have before the next international break.

Ousmane Dembele's started the season in good form but it wouldn't be surprising if he's rested at some point in the next week, with Barça travelling to Leganes on Wednesday before hosting Athletic on Saturday.
