FC Barcelona have officially confirmed the diagnosis for Jordi Alba's injury, revealing the left-back has a hamstring problem in his left leg. The injury was picked up on Thursday night during Spain's 1-1 draw with Italy.
According to the club's press release on Friday, "the tests taken today have confirmed that first team player Jordi Alba has an elongation of his left hamstring. The time out of action will be approximately 10 days."
Alba had earlier posted a message on social media explaining that the injury was less serious than he'd feared.
Keeping in mind Barcelona's upcoming calendar, Jordi Alba will miss the game against Deportivo La Coruna but will be in condition to play in the Champions League match against Manchester City at Camp Nou.
Lionel Messi, Ivan Rakitic and Samuel Umtiti are also all currently sidelined, although none are expected to be out for a long period of time. All three could feature against Depor.
