Barcelona confirm Luis Suarez's calf injury in medical report

Barcelona confirmed on Saturday that Luis Suarez has an injury in his right calf. The medical statement did not express the length of time that he is expected to miss.

Suarez went off after 37 minutes against Athletic Bilbao in a 1-0 league opening defeat because of pain in that leg. He was replaced by Rafinha Alcantara.

The likelihood is that Suarez will miss a couple of matches, although further news may emerge clarifying his absence time. Barcelona are already missing star player Lionel Messi, with a minor muscle injury of his own, which kept him out of the game in Bilbao.
