The Catalans could go with a 4-3-3 and Dembele might start for the first time

Barcelona take on their first ‘final’ this season on Wednesday. They likely have to beat Bayern Munich to reach the Champions League last 16. A win would guarantee them progress.

Xavi has reiterated that the system isn’t the most important thing, but for what it’s worth he is considering the 4-3-3 because Bayern’s pace on the counter attack can be lethal against three defenders. Dest and Jordi Alba could start as full backs, with Araujo and Pique in the middle.

Busquets, De Jong and Nico in midfield can be accompanied by Ousmane Dembele, his first start of the season, with Memphis in the middle and Gavi as a false winger on the left.
