Valencia midfielder Ferran Torres is the focus of a new battle between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid. The 17-year-old, considered one of the most talented youngsters in Spain, has caught the attention of both clubs, who have been following his progress for the last year.
According to various reports in Valencia on Wednesday, Barça are planning to pay the teenager's release clause. Torres has a contract until 2019 and his buyout is eight million euros. However, Plaza Deportiva say there's a clause which could see Los Che extend his deal by a year and increase his buyout to 25 million euros.

Valencia's intention is to renew the player's terms and tie him down now that he's one step away from the first team. As well as Barça and Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus have also asked about the midfielder, who represents Spain at U17 level and will take part in the World Cup which begins in India this Friday.
