Barça's Setien: It would not be fair to play Napoli at neutral venue

Quique Setien says it wouldn't be fair if Barcelona had to play the second leg of their Champions League game against Napoli at a neutral venue.

The two teams drew the first leg 1-1 in Italy before football across Europe shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic.

UEFA are currently working on a plan to finish the competition in June. One report claims the whole competition will be concluded in Portugal in August, including the remaining second leg games from the last 16.

That would mean Barca would have to give up home advantage against Napoli, with any potential quarterfinal -- and later the semifinal and the final -- also likely to take place in Portugal.

"Nothing is decided but that's the latest to come out," Setien said in a press conference. "We will see what happens. It would harm us a little, having to play the Napoli game in a neutral venue when in the first leg they were at home.

"But if those end up being the circumstances, it is what it is. (We) accept it as no other option."

On Barça's hopes in the league and in Europe, Setien added: "In the league, we depend on ourselves, although it is going to be a struggle to get all the points remaining for the teams at the top.

"We have the most options at the moment because we have a two-point advantage (over Real Madrid). And in the Champions League, we have options to be there, of course. We have the best player in the world and that is always something that can tip the balance in our favour."
