FC Barcelona will wear its new away kit for the first time in tonight's friendly against Girona at the Estadi Johan Cruyff.
The shirt is predominantly purple - a mixture of red and blue, representing the fight for gender equality - but also features flashes of its traditional 'blaugrana' colours. This year's away strip was presented as part of the club's 'Més que' [More than] campaign, under the banner 'Més que génere' [More than gender].

The blue and red stripes down the side of the shirt include the masculine and feminine versions of the phrase 'Tots units fem força', which is a lyric from the club's anthem meaning "together we are stronger". This highlights the club's huge commitment to female sport.
