Barça B is suffering from 'overbooking' and unlikely loan deals

Oriol Busquets and Miranda are open to leaving on a temporary basis but others are demanding permanent moves away

Only four members of the Barça B squad were called up by Ernesto Valverde for the tour of the United States. Five went to Japan - Oriol Busquets, Araujo, Monchu, Guillem and Collado - are now back in Spain. Juan Miranda played in the Gamper Trophy but the signing of Junior Firpo essentially ends his hope of playing for the senior side this year. There are a lot of players who need to decide what the future holds for them and many are upset with their own situation.

Aside from Oriol Busquets and Miranda, many Barça B players have said they will only leave if it's on a permanent basis. No loans. This puts Barça B in a tough spot as most of the offers on the table are season-long loan deals. The coach, Garcia Pimienta, wants a competitive side and hopes he doesn't lose too many key members of his squad. Some want to leave as they feel they're ready to make the step up.

Two deals look set to be complete

Oriol Busquets would accept a loan deal and as such, the club is counting on him in the future. Plenty of sides want to take the talented midfielder on loan and he also has options to spend a year outside of Spain. Ernesto Valverde is a fan of Busquets but feels the arrival of Frenkie de Jong would limit his opportunites with the senior team.

Miranda is a similar case, although he has lost the backing of Valverde after struggling to take advantage of the chances handed to him last season. The left back won't be involved next year following the arrival of Junior and has offers to join Juventus and Marseille, but Barça don't want to lose him on a permanent basis. His future will be resolved soon but there's still plenty to sort out in Barça B.
