After last summer's long, drawn out transfer saga involving Antoine Griezmann and FC Barcelona it appears we are about to witness the sequel. The French forward dreams of walking out at the Camp Nou and according to Cadena SER's 'El Larguero' programme, Atletico Madrid already know they are fighting a lost cause.
On Sunday's show, Manu Carreño said: "Atletico already know that he's agreed everything with Barça. It's a done deal." The two teams could negotiate a fee but the other option would be to deposit his buyout clause, which decreases to €125m from the 1st July.
According to SER: "This week there is expected to be a meeting in order to finalise everything." The idea from all sides is to avoid a repeat of what happened last summer when Griezmann took months to make a decision before ultimately remaining at Atletico.
