Barca president Joan Laporta spoke to Esport3 on Monday night and explained an interesting anecdote about the No 10 shirt. Ansu Fati accepted Leo Messi’s number, on one condition.

“It was a brave gesture on his part, in fact when it was put to him, he said he would wear the No 10 if the captains gave him permission,” said Laporta.

“Also, thanks to that, we can use another position in the first team, because that number had a lot of weight and logically, nobody wanted to take it on.”

Laporta also confirmed “nobody wanted to put Ansu up for sale” and assure that Barca “in no moment had received offers” for him.
