Andoni Zubizarreta could become the new sporting director of Olympic Marseille. According to RTL, the former Barcelona man is in advanced negotiations with the club's owner, American Frank McCourt, to work on their new sporting project. Zubi, currently a television analyst, has been without work in football itself for over a year after Barcelona sacked him in January 2015.
OM want to be one of the strongest teams in Europe, with the new owners promising investment of over 200m in the next two seasons, so the team can play in the Champions League and win titles. Fo the moment they have agreed a deal with coach Rudi Garcia to take over until 2019, and the idea is to sign Zubi too.
