"There's no timeframe marked out, and while I am with the B team I will give my all, but I hope it won't be for many games, I want to leave this spell behind," said Carles Aleña after Barça B's game against Peralada last weekend. Said and done. The midfielder is not in Garcia Pimienta's squad for the game against UD Conquense this Saturday.
At the same time as the squad list was revealed, Aleña was training with the first team. Ernesto Valverde had already made it clear that he counts on him and after his injury, little by little, he would enter in the first team's dynamic. Against Girona, he could be in the squad for the first time this season, although nothing is guaranteed.
Aleña knows that it's tough to win a place in Valverde's side. During the first few weeks of the season, the regulars have played and there have not been many minutes for the new players to demonstrated their value. That favours Aleña, who starts from zero but, based on his work on the training ground, could earn an opportunity.
