Adama Traore proving Barcelona's best January signing so far

Barcelona strengthened with four signing in January, with Ferran Torres, Dani Alves, Adama Traoré and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang all arriving at the club thanks to some smart work from Mateu Alemany.

With those arrivals, Barça managed to create a more competitive squad and address some weaknesses, especially in attack. Until now, the performances of the new plays have been OK, but they have not been excellent, either.

Without any doubt, the best signing so far has been Adama. Ferran has shown signs of his enormous potential, Alves has displayed that age is just a number and, in the two small cameos Xavi has given him, Aubameyang has shown he's an interesting attacking option.

As for Adama, 'La Flecha’ de L’Hospitalet (The Arrow from L’Hospitalet) has needed just two games to show that he can create danger and chances.

In the derby against Espanyol, he was the player that won the most duels (11), completed the most dribbles (5) and delivered the most crosses (10), including one which set up Luuk de Jong for the equaliser.

Adama was also involved in the first goal, with his early run eventually leading to Pedri's opener, and he almost added a second for Barça later in the first half. It continued the good sensations from the Atletico Madrid game, when he also set up a goal.

On Thursday, he will likely have an important role again in the Europa League game against Napoli. The confidence and the power of the Arrow will be key.
