The Barcelona players completed their final training session ahead of the Spanish Super Cup clash against Sevilla on Sunday evening and there was a new face keeping a close eye on things: Eric Abidal.
The new man responsible for the comings and goings in the first team squad, who works alongside his assesor Ramon Planes and under the supervision of Pep Segura (General Manager), was watching from the sidelines to see the players in person. The French man wished the squad luck in their quest to win the first piece of silverware available this season.
Abidal was presented as the director of football at Barcelona on the 19th June. He took over the role from Robert Fernandez, whose contract wasn't renewed.
